Members: Mainland Membership
Terms and Conditions (Mainland Membership)
To qualify for a mainland membership you will need to meet the following conditions:
- Must have permanent residence on the UK mainland.
- Must be a full (male/female) member of another golf club.
Mainland memberships are subject to the following restrictions:
- May play in competitions at Stornoway Golf Club provided you hold a current CONGU approved handicap. (A current handicap certificate must be shown to the Match & Handicap Committee prior to competition play.)
- May not use Stornoway Golf Club as “Home Club” for handicapping purposes.
As a mainland member you will receive the following benefits:
- Certificate of Membership.
- Stornoway Golf Club Diary.
- Stornoway Golf Club Bag Tag.
- Full access to the course during your visits.
- Full use of the clubs facilities during your visits.
- Open invitation to any club function being held during your visits.
The course at Stornoway Golf Club is set amongst the woodlands of Lews Castle and rises out of these towards the moorlands to the west of the town. An undulating landscape presents the golfer with a course that demands a keen shot-making ability and a canny judgement of distances.
Nearly a cracking night apart from the midges as can be seen by some trying to hide from the wee darlings 🤯😵💫🤦🏻♀️
Not many photos but a great turn out - the younger ones did some putting practice before playing the course, the under 12’s managed to get some sixes scores for our online league with the Isle of Skye golf club.
The over 12’s got in some practice for the nines to be played on Friday afternoon.
I didn’t even notice the 2nd rabbit hiding while photographing the black one 🐰😅🤷🏻♀️😂
